NOTES FROM A WINEMAKER - DOMAINE DE BÉRU

Die Domaine de Béru ist ein rund fünfzehn Hektar großes Familienweingut im Burgund, im Herzen der Weinberge des Chablis. 2005 trat die junge Schlossherrin Athenais Béru in die Fußstapfen ihrer burgundischen Vorgänger und führt seither die Domaine.

Auch sie hat uns ein kleines Update des fast abgelaufenen Jahres geschickt:

2020, WHAT A VINTAGE! 

Wine lovers, and especially those who love Chablis and its region, will remember the year 2020 for a long time. Not only for the events which upset the planet, but for the unique character of the vintage: harvests of unparalleled precocity of Burgundian memory, extremely promising balances between freshness and maturity and rare energy, concentrated in tight volumes.

The life of the estate has also been marked by landmark decisions such as the design of the new cellar and the development of the old vintages bottle cellar.

 

Construction work on the new Château de Béru winery will begin in January. The project has been entrusted to the Zero Carbon architectural firm, which faces a double challenge: to locate the building in a historic site and to build in accordance with the highest environmental requirements. The new building should be operational to welcome the 2022 harvest.

Chablis Wein von der Domaine de Béru bei Weinskandal. Chardonnay ist aufgrund der gesetzlichen Vorgaben und wegen der geschützten Herkunftsbezeichnung die einzige Rebsorte, die im Chablis angebaut wird.
